STEAMDRY to be showcased at Chillventa 2026

STEAMDRY will be present at Chillventa 2026, the international exhibition for refrigeration, air-conditioning, ventilation and heat-pump technologies, taking place on 13–15 October 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Visitors will be able to learn more about the project at the stand of STEAMDRY partner AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, where the project’s work on energy-efficient and low-carbon industrial drying will be showcased. Visit AIT in Hall 7A, Booth 7A-504.

Connecting drying and heat-pump innovation

As Austria’s largest research and technology organisation, AIT will present research and technology solutions for industry, residential buildings and data centres under the theme “Heat Pumps for the Future of Energy.” The stand will feature demonstrations and current research initiatives addressing the future of sustainable heating and industrial energy systems.

STEAMDRY complements this focus by developing and piloting superheated-steam drying technology for web-like materials, with a particular focus on paper, board, tissue and nonwoven production. The project explores how industrial drying can be made more energy efficient, less dependent on fossil fuels and better integrated with heat-recovery and electrification solutions.

By bringing superheated-steam drying into the conversation at Chillventa, STEAMDRY highlights the importance of tackling industrial heat demand across the full process chain—from renewable and electrified heat supply to the energy-intensive drying operations where that heat is used.

Visit the AIT stand

Chillventa brings together experts, manufacturers, technology providers, researchers and decision-makers working on the energy transition in heating, cooling and refrigeration. It offers a valuable opportunity to discuss the technical pathways, integration challenges and scale-up needs for innovative industrial heat solutions.

Meet the STEAMDRY and AIT teams at Hall 7A, Booth 7A-504 to discover how superheated-steam drying can contribute to more competitive, energy-efficient and climate-friendly production in the paper, board, tissue and nonwoven sectors.
